Good habits

There is a good reason why your mother told you to brush your teeth every day, or why the doctor tells you to eat right, exercise, and get plenty of rest every night. Doing these simple things every day will not only make you feel better but will increase your chance of living longer.

There isn't a dentist around that would recommend brushing mornings only. The same can be said for taking care of your skin. Washing, toning and moisturizing in the morning simply isn't enough to maintain healthy, glowing skin. But, combine an evening routine then add in a monthly facial and voila - you have beautiful skin...and with beautiful skin all things are possible. Well perhaps not all things, but you will look fabulous as you tackle the possible.

Developing good habits starts with the basic...so I thought it might be helpful to break down what your skin care routine should look like in the am and in the pm. Then, over the course of the following weeks I will go in depth into the key areas - 'Cleanse and Tone''Hydrate and Protect' and then 'Nourish and Treat'.

AM Routine
Splash your face with tepid water
Follow with Toner
Apply a light layer of Repair allowing a few minutes for it to absorb
Follow with a day cream on face and decolletage recommended for your skin
Finish with an SPF 15

PM Routine
Cleanse with a sulfite free cleanser
Follow with Toner if recommended
Apply a light layer of Repair allowing a few minutes for it to absorb
Apply Eye Cream using a circular motion to stimulate circulation
Follow with a heavier Night Cream on face and decolletage

Once a week
Exfoliate and treat your skin to a masque that is appropriate for your skin type.

Let's start here....do this for one week without fail. By the time I post next week I am sure you will have this morning and evening routine down and it will be as routine as brushing after every meal!

Until next week,

Julianna
