Treatments for the real star - you!

While others are spending their evening watching drama unfold on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I am treating my face to some TLC.

For you non reality tv junkies let me translate, twice a week I treat my skin to a mask and a peel. Each have a specific job to do so in lieu of watching Camille and who's that other gal, Karla? duke it out, I snuggle up with a glass of wine, a good book and let my treatment go to work.

Masks
In recent months I have been using a nourishing  cream mask made with Linden flowers, so fragrant and  soothing .  But in the summer months I will use a slightly different mask designed to hydrate and cool the skin.

Masks are great for other specialized skin care needs as well. Clay masks are ideal for tightening pores. Masks make perfect spot treatments. They can target specifics needs around the eye, lips and blemishes.
If time is a problem, and let's face it, when is it not, then let the mask work while you are sleeping. Skin at rest is ideally suited for optimum results. JK Beauty makes a number of masks that are perfect for sleeping in.

Peels
My second treatment of the week, usually when Lilie is visiting with friends, I apply my home peel. Peels are so important to healthy skin, but often ignored.

Peels remove dead skin allowing the tissue to release toxins, breath easier, and absorb the necessary nutrients from the products you apply to your skin easier. By sloughing off dead skin cells your face looks smoother and more youthful as well.

In the clinic I use the combination of  wet and dry microdermabrasion, or a trageted peel for a better cleansing effect. Having this done once a season builds on the weekly home treatment, combining to keep your skin in the healthiest condition possible.

Repair
Perhaps the best treatment you can do for your skin in using JK Beauty Repair daily. It works with all skin types because it works with the cell's structure to balance out the skin. It is perfect for all ages (teens to seniors), and diminishes blemishes and redness, by soothing and calming your skin.

For oily skin it helps balances out the skin so the oil  becomes an appropriate protection for your skin. Often you don't need any other moisturizer - the Repair alone is enough.

For dry skin types, Repair provides that extra layer of protection and it doesn't interfere with your other moisturizers. Again, it creates a balance between your skin and the products you use.

Men love it because it works as a light gel moisturizer in the t-zone and adds necessary hydration in the beard area. Repair helps calm and soothe skin that has been exposed to severe elements due to boating, skiing, golfing and sunning - tisk, tisk!.

Repair is an ideal gel for the eye area and is perfect under make-up. It creates a smooth surface and creates a protective layer that keeps make-up and sunscreen on the surface, not allowing them to penetrate into the pores which can cause blemishes. No additional moisturizers are needed when used with make-up and you will find your make-up lasts longer, looks fresher and has a nice matte finish.

Repair is used and loved by so many clients, I would welcome your comments about how you use Repair and the benefits that you have experienced.

I am always working on new products and have developed a wonderful overnight treatment for the eyes. It is a treatment  that will calm sooth and  restore the skin around the eyes.

So the next time the tv is turned on, gather up your products and spend an hour nourishing your skin. You will be amazed how radiant, soft and rejuvenated your skin feels and looks. I am pretty sure the Real Housewives take time out of their filming schedule to do just that!

Until next week,

Julianna
